Agile Analog Awarded Innovate UK Grant to Accelerate Semiconductor IP Development
£1M project to develop new products and enhance design-automation technology
Cambridge, UK, 30 July 2019 --Agile Analog, a Cambridge-based Analog IP company, announces it has successfully been awarded funding from Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency, to accelerate their new product development.
The project, totalling around £1M, will be 45% funded by Innovate UK and will extend Agile Analog’s leading edge, AI-driven technology to address much higher complexity Analog IP, and result in a large expansion of products available to Agile Analog’s customers. Analog IP, or analog circuits, are needed on all microchips as they provide the connection between the real world and the digital world. Agile Analog has developed a technology to automate the design and delivery of these circuits.
Agile Analog’s innovative design technology is programmatic, systematic and repeatable leading to Analog IP that is more verifiable, more robust and more reliable. The availability of high-quality Analog IP enables our customers to easily integrate more functionality on chip.
The two-year project will focus on enhancing our technology to develop new categories of IP that will complement Agile Analog’s existing range of products. These components can then in turn be further integrated to provide even more complex analog systems.
Tim Ramsdale, CEO of Agile Analog, said “This award serves as further endorsement of our technology and will lead to increased growth in the UK’s technology sector. The products we will develop with the Innovate UK grant will provide more flexibility and reduced time to market for customers in the Automotive, IoT, AI and Security markets.”
Mike Hulse, CTO of Agile Analog, said “The Innovate UK grant will enable us to expedite our technology development and introduce new, more complex Analog IP to the market. Our customisable IP is built to a higher quality and is available on any semiconductor process, enabling the acceleration of innovation across the industry.”
