MetaVideo Announces Home-Theater Quality Video IP Cores for Cost Effective Consumer Electronics Custom ASICs and SoCs
CES 2003, Las Vegas, January, 9, 2003: MetaVideo, Inc., headquartered in Los Gatos, California, is showcasing its advanced Video IP cores that can be licensed for integration into Custom Applications Specific ICs and SoCs.
Major applications include Enhanced Definition Consumer Electronics equipment such as enhanced DTVs, HD and HD Ready TV, DVD Players & Recorders, PVRs, Broadband Set-Top Boxes, Media Centers, PC Video Capture and Display, Video Conferencing, Video Camera, Medical Imaging, Defense Imaging, Video/LCD Projector and Flat Panel/LCD Display.
The video IP cores now available from MetaVideo include: Analog Front End, Adaptive 2D and 3D Video Decoders with 10-bit resolution, 5-line COMB filters, Video/Picture Enhancer, Scaler and Adaptive Formats/Frame Rate Converter featuring MetaVideo's proprietary MDDITM processing (Multi-Directional De-Interlacer). These cores are among the most advanced and least gate count IP cores. Semiconductor/ASIC vendors or system company internal IC design groups can seamlessly integrate these IP cores into their own products thereby reducing their time to market.
"These cores will significantly lower the cost of Home-Theater Quality video consumer electronics equipment by providing high-end features in the smallest possible SoC or ASIC footprint," said Jack Guedj, Executive Chairman of MetaVideo.
MetaVideo will be demonstrating its video IP cores technology at CES at the LV Hilton Convention Center located at 3000 Paradise Rd., Las Vegas, Nevada, 89109 (Tel: 888-732-7117) from January 8 through January 11. MetaVideo will also be announcing in the near future advanced MPEG Audio/Video Decoding and Wireless baseband processing IP cores.
