Zoran's Coach Powers New Line Of Digital Cameras From Apex Digital
Santa Clara, Calif. - February 27, 2003 - Zoran Corporation (Nasdaq: ZRAN) announced that its COACH 5 digital camera processor is powering two new digital cameras from Apex Digital. Additional models will follow later in the year.
The Apex Digital 1300 and 2100 models offer 1.3 and 2.0 megapixel resolutions, respectively. Both are being displayed later this week at the Photo Marketing Association tradeshow in Las Vegas. These cameras also offer, respectively, 12 and 16 levels of digital zoom, refined distance capture functions, shutter self-timing and high quality sequence control.
In addition, the 2100 model offers a seven-second audio record and store with still image feature, a movie sound record function and stereo music player. Both the 1300 and 2100 store photos on compact flash cards and interface with digital printers. This line of cameras is based on the COACH-powered CamMini reference design from Zoran.
