Accelerated Technology Extends Nucleus Support to the ARM10 Processor to Meet Increasing Customer Demands
MOBILE, Ala., April 2, 2003 - Accelerated Technology®, the Embedded Systems Division of Mentor Graphics Corporation (Nasdaq: MENT), today announced a new version of the NucleusTM Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) for developers using the ARM10TM family of processors. Responding to the needs of system-on-a-chip (SoC) developers, Accelerated Technology (AT) has provided a Nucleus solution for the ARM1020ETM and ARM1022ETM hard macrocell products, and the synthesizable and highly configurable ARM1026EJ-STM core, the newest ARM10 family member.
SoC developers require a high-performance, low-power solution to build applications ranging from next-generation hand-held products and digital consumer products to automotive and industrial control systems. The robustness and scalability of Nucleus software provides a customized and solid foundation from which developers of ARM Powered® products can build these devices. By implementing the Nucleus RTOS, system developers can extend the capabilities of their embedded applications by taking advantage of a wide range of Nucleus add-on products including prototyping software, a networking suite, graphics package, file management system and web-enabling software.
"Accelerated Technology closely follows the ARM® architecture roadmap and together we are delivering solutions which scale from the basic, through to high performance, high integrity, memory protected, application areas," said Rod Crawford, ARM's OS Awareness product manager. "The Nucleus RTOS, coupled with quality tools from both ARM and Accelerated Technology, provide a high degree of visibility into the complex world of today's high-performance applications based on the ARM10 core family."
"Accelerated Technology has a complete scalable product offering covering the ARM architecture. We are now strengthening this offering by being one of the first vendors to provide full RTOS support for the ARM10 family. Our source code, royalty-free Nucleus product line will provide a solid solution for developers looking for a cost-effective and proven environment for their product development," said Robert Day, director of marketing, Mentor Graphics Embedded Systems Division.
Pricing and Availability
Available now, licenses for Nucleus start at U.S. $12,495. This initial release is supported by the both the code|lab Embedded Developer Suite and the ARM RealView® Developer Suite. For more information, please contact Accelerated Technology at 800-468-6853 or info@acceleratedtechnology.com.
