We believe this agreement with Sony attests to the strength of our intellectual property licensing program as it expands further into this exciting new market."
MOSAID believes all companies that manufacture mainstream DRAM products, including single and double data rate (DDR) synchronous DRAM, as well as Rambus® DRAM, use its patented circuit technology. MOSAID has also found its patented circuit technology incorporated in the embedded DRAM products of a number of major semiconductor manufacturers.
To date, MOSAID has signed nine patent licensing agreements with many leading semiconductor manufacturers including Fujitsu, NEC, Toshiba, Hitachi, Mitsubishi Electric, Oki Electric, Matsushita, Winbond Electronics and Sony Corporation. MOSAID's ability to broaden its licensing opportunities is supported by its growing portfolio of 486 patents issued and pending. There are currently a total of 11 semiconductor manufacturers on notice for patent infringement and MOSAID is engaged in licensing discussions with several of these companies.
