Artisan Adds EDA Veteran To Enhance Focus On IC Design Community
Casey Jones to Head Corporate Communications Department
SUNNYVALE, Calif., -- June 11, 2003 -- Artisan Components, Inc., (Nasdaq: ARTI), a leading provider of physical intellectual property (IP), has named Casey Jones senior director of corporate communications. Jones fills a newly created position that reports to Mark Templeton, president and chief executive officer, and is responsible for communicating the numerous products and programs Artisan offers to the integrated circuit (IC) design community. The company connects IC designers with leading semiconductor manufacturers through a broad spectrum of memory, standard cells, analog and mixed-signal products that are matched to these manufacturers' processes.
"Artisan offers the IC design community a consistent and stable interface to rapidly evolving and growing process and manufacturing options," Templeton said. "This emphasis of this new department will facilitate the communication of the products, support and services Artisan offers IC designers. Artisan recently added to its breadth of product offerings, so this is a perfect time to enhance our company's capabilities in this area and to position for the future. I am thrilled that Casey has chosen to join our team."
Jones has spent nearly 20 years in the electronic design automation (EDA) field, most recently as vice president of marketing for InTime Software, Inc., an EDA start-up. Prior to InTime, Jones was vice president of marketing for Avant! Corp. (acquired by Synopsys, Inc. in 2002) and for Integrated Silicon Systems, Inc. Jones holds B.A and M.A. degrees from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University.
