SiSoft and Denali Team to Deliver Signal Integrity Solutions for High-Speed Memory Systems
MAYNARD, Mass., June 24, 2003--Signal Integrity Software, Inc. (SiSoft), a Massachusetts-based consulting services and EDA software company, announces a joint partnership agreement with Denali Software, Inc. The two companies are teaming to provide their customers with a comprehensive design and verification solution to address critical memory system and high-speed interface issues. As part of this agreement, Denali will offer its customers SiSoft's new Quick Turn Signal Integrity (QTSI) analysis services packages to complement its existing semiconductor intellectual property (IP) and memory system verification products. Initial QTSI services packages will target the DDR/SDR SDRAM, FCRAM, and DDR/QDR-SRAM high-speed memory interfaces. Additional interface analysis packages may be added over time, including support for DDR SDRAM (II), FCRAM II, RLDRAM (II), and PCI Express interfaces.
"Many companies are experiencing significant difficulty incorporating today's high-speed ASIC and interface technologies into their products," said Barry Katz, SiSoft's President and CTO. "Traditional methodologies and tools do not adequately address critical high-speed interface design and verification issues. SiSoft's QTSI product and consulting service expertise in system-level signal integrity and timing analysis combined with Denali's memory controller IP now form an integrated solution for customers who are developing high-performance memory systems. Our combined products and services allow customers to fully verify their high-speed interface designs from concept through system-level implementation."
"The interface to external memory can be a critical bottleneck in any system-on-chip design," says Denali CTO Mark Gogolewski. "Designs today are increasingly data-hungry, and optimizing the performance of the memory system is one of the keys to a successful chip. An optimal controller is necessary but not sufficient. Extremely high-speed DDR devices, varying I/O standards and shortened time-to-market windows now make high-quality signal integrity analysis a requirement for many designs. By working with SiSoft, we are now able to provide customers with a solid path from architectural feasibility and performance analysis with our Databahn IP, all the way to best-in-class signal integrity analysis solutions with SiSoft's QTSI product and consulting services."
"SiSoft's products and services complement Denali's offering by providing system-level signal integrity and timing analysis for high-speed ASIC/FPGA interfaces that utilize Denali's interface IP," said Warren Hayden, SiSoft's Director of Marketing and Sales. "Our SiAuditor(TM) product integrates signal integrity and timing analysis into a single flow, which provides unprecedented accuracy in predicting system-level noise and timing margins. We are leveraging SiAuditor's design analysis reuse capabilities to provide very affordable QTSI analysis services packages for Denali's high-speed memory interfaces. Our QTSI services packages include pre-layout and/or post-layout signal integrity and timing analysis."
"Denali and SiSoft already provide products and services to some of the same companies," said Katz. "Denali's strong market presence and established sales force provides considerable value to SiSoft. In turn, Denali will be able to offer its customers access to leading-edge signal integrity products and expertise at very affordable prices. This partnership is a winning combination for both companies and for our mutual customers as it offers an unprecedented end-to-end design and verification solution for high-speed interfaces and memory systems."
SiSoft's QTSI service packages, along with their IXDP2800 analysis kits and new SiAuditor product release, will be highlighted at the Network Processors Conference in Danvers, MA on June 25.
