Wipro is demonstrating a IEEE 1394 A/V Link and 5C solution using its IEEE 1394 A/V Link with 5C IP. Using its IEEE 1394 A/V Link, Wipro is demonstrating high speed video streaming between two camcorders, once serving as a host and the other as a device. Wipro's IEEE 1394 A/V Link IP is used by chip vendors who in turn offer IEEE 1394 A/V functionality to Audio Video equipment manufacturers.

Wipro's A/V Link core with software components including IP over 1394, 5C and AV/C (Audio-Video Command set) form the backbone for the interconnectivity between the Audio-Video peripheral equipment which makes it possible for high speed data transfer with strict QoS (Quality of Service). This A/V Link Core comes along with the hardware 5C called "Encryptor" and "Decryptor" which ensure content protection.

The IEEE 1394 is a technology specification for the connectivity between devices where high speed, high bandwidth data transfer is the need.
