Barcelona Design Appoints Susanne Hampe European Sales Director

Barcelona Opens Munich Office to Serve European Customers
Newark, Calif., July 17, 2003 - Barcelona Design Inc., the leading supplier of analog synthesis solutions, today announced the appointment of Susanne Hampe as a Sales Director for Europe. Based in Munich, Germany, Susanne will be responsible for establishing sales operations for Barcelona's entire line of products in the European market. She reports directly to Bob Johnson, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations.
"The creation of this position addresses the fast growing demand for Barcelona's analog synthesis solutions in the European market", said Bob Johnson. Susanne's experience in the EDA and semiconductor industries and her extensive familiarity with the European market will greatly contribute to supporting the increasing customer demand in Europe."
Before joining Barcelona Design, Susanne Hampe worked for Simplex Solutions as General Manager for Central Europe. After Cadence Design System's acquisition of Simplex she assumed the role of Business Development Manager with responsibility for Europe.
