Artisan Launches EDA-IP-Foundry Conference for IC Designers; First Artisan Community Design Conference --ACDC-- Rocks Silicon Valley in September
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sep 3, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Artisan Components, Inc. (Nasdaq:ARTI), a leading provider of physical intellectual property (IP), today announced the first annual Artisan Community Design Conference (ACDC) to be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California on Thursday, September 25, 2003. The one-day event will feature technical, solutions-oriented presentations focusing on concept-to-silicon success for IC designers. Topics include signal integrity, leakage, design for yield and design integration of analog and mixed-signal IP. ACDC focuses on EDA interoperability and flows and how Artisan and EDA, foundry and IP partners collaborate to provide solutions for deep submicron design. A concurrent ACDC Partner EXPO will showcase Artisan partners exhibiting their newest design, verification, manufacturing and test solutions.
The conference agenda will begin with a welcome address by Mark Templeton, president and CEO of Artisan, and followed by a panel entitled, "Who Made Whom," moderated by EETimes editor Ron Wilson. Senior technologists from Artisan's leading EDA, IP and foundry partners will then deliver presentations in a design and production flow context. The presentations will focus on the technical collaborations currently underway between Artisan, design teams and partner companies in the design-to-manufacturing supply chain. The technical sessions, panel Q&A and the ACDC Partner EXPO will allow direct interaction with senior technologists and industry experts from Artisan and Artisan partner companies.
ACDC EDA and IP technical presenters include:
- Applied Materials: John Madok, Director, Strategic Planning and New Business Development
- ARM: John Rayfield, VP Marketing
- Artisan: Jim Hogan, Senior VP Business Development
- Cadence Design Systems: Aki Fujimura, CTO and Managing Director
- Denali Software, Inc: Mark Gogolewski, CTO
- eSilicon: Gina Gloski, VP and General Manager
- Magma Design Automation: Rajeev Madhavan, CEO and Chairman
- Mentor Graphics: Jue-Hsien Chern, VP and General Manager
- Rambus: Craig Hampel, Technology Director
