Shanghai Jade Technologies license Hantro MPEG-4 SP video technology for their Digital Content Processor
Hantro’s 4350 codec integrated in SoC will enable Shanghai Jade’s ARM9 based DCP (digital content processor) to encode and decode fully compliant ISO MPEG-4 SP/ITU H.263 full duplex video at up to CIF resolution (352 x 288) at 30 frames per second.
The Camcorder Engine enables fast application development by providing a high level API for the Graphical User Interface, including functions such as audio/video synchronization, GSM-AMR codec, file handling for mp4/3gp multimedia files, and other sophisticated high level functions needed for a multimedia related End User application.
“Hantro have provided us with a mature and proven IP solution delivering high performance at low power consumption, with ease of integration facilitating an extremely fast time to market” says Dr. Jack He Ouyang, President and CEO of Jade. “By offering video as one of the key features in our DCP LSI we are in an excellent position to offer the best solution for the emerging consumer, communication and computing (3C) markets worldwide.”
“We are pleased that Shanghai Jade Technologies have chosen to incorporate our video technology in their DCP, and we look forward to a long term partnership” says Eero Kaikkonen, CEO – Hantro Products Oy “This agreement in China further emphasizes Hantro’s position as a leading provider of mobile video technology in the Asia-Pacific region.”
