Altera and Sci-worx Partner to Provide SOPC Design Services
Hannover, Germany, May 2, 2001 -sci-worx, a leading microelectronics technology licensing and design company, and Altera Corporation (Nasdaq: ALTR), a leading supplier of programmable logic devices (PLDs) today announced a partnership that will provide customers with system on a programmable chip (SOPC) design services. Under the partnership, sci-worx becomes a member of Altera's Certified Design Center (CDC) program to provide system-integration design services involving intellectual property (IP) integration utilizing Altera's programmable products, including Excalibur? embedded processor solutions.
Already established as an ARM Approved Design Center, sci-worx has the expertise to deploy Altera's Excalibur embedded processor solutions, which combine logic, memory and a Nios?, ARM® or MIPS® processor core. Additionally, Altera will provide sci-worx with in-depth training on its range of SOPC product solutions.
