Hantro's Camcorder application receives Symbian Signed Status
Oulu, Finland – 22nd June 2004 – Hantro, the leading provider of mobile video technology, announced today that it has received Symbian Signed status for the Camcorder application. Symbian Signed is the industry-endorsed application signing program that promotes best practise in Symbian OS content and application development. The program tests applications against industry-agreed criteria in support of network operator and mobile manufacturer requirements.
“The Symbian Signed program provides us with an excellent benchmark when we are developing multimedia applications for our partners” says Eero Kaikkonen, President and CEO of Hantro. “The Camcorder application is based on our Multimedia Engine product, the application core and graphical user interface are technically identical irrespective of whether our software or hardware codec’s are implemented – Symbian Signed status of this application will undoubtedly provide additional benefit to our silicon partners who have our hardware IP integrated on chip.”
