Verisity and Platform Computing Deliver First Grid-Enabled Verification Process Automation --VPA-- Solution
Verisity vManager and Platform LSF Electronics Edition Integration Enables Automated and Simpler Verification, From Executable Plans to Verification Closure
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 30, 2004 -- Verisity Ltd. (Nasdaq:VRST), the leading supplier of Verification Process Automation (VPA) solutions, has partnered with Platform Computing, the largest distributed and grid computing software vendor, to deliver a powerful integration between vManager and Platform LSF Electronics Edition. As part of this joint agreement, best-in-class technologies are joined to automate and simplify verification, from executable plans to verification closure, to achieve higher predictability and enhanced quality in chip design at a lower system cost. The combination provides increased productivity and more predictable verification project management as well as sophisticated project and enterprise optimization of grid resources.
Meeting tight market windows for extremely high quality designs depends on successfully processing hundreds of thousands of verifications tasks. Grid-enabling allows an organization to produce higher quality results, in less time, on schedule, and without extra cost. Therefore, Platform and Verisity's combined grid-enabled Verification Process Automation solution saves time associated with verification by optimizing resources across multiple projects and within individual projects across an entire enterprise.
"Platform LSF Electronics Edition is the first end-to-end grid solution created specifically for the semiconductor industry. By seamlessly integrating our new product with Verisity's vManager project-level verification management system, we're delivering the Electronics industry's first grid-enabled Verification Process Automation (VPA) solution," says Peter Nichol, General Manager and Vice President, Electronics, Platform Computing.
"The Platform LSF Electronics Edition and vManager integrated product provides our customers with the ability to manage the process from spec to closure with measurable progress. This enables customers to achieve far greater predictability and quality of results with optimal resource utilization," said Steve Glaser, Sr. Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and Business Development, Verisity.
