Court Schedules Trial Date for MOSAID Patent Lawsuit Against Samsung
OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada – September 29, 2004 - MOSAID Technologies Incorporated (TSX:MSD) today announced that Judge Martini has advised he will be issuing an order that the trial date for MOSAID's patent infringement case against Samsung will be set for February 1, 2005.
At a status conference on September 28, 2004, in the District Court of New Jersey, the Judge set a schedule for events leading up to the trial for MOSAID's case against Samsung. The parties are currently waiting for the written order from the Court that will confirm further details regarding the schedule.
"This trial date is earlier than we expected and we are pleased that the Court is adopting an aggressive schedule to complete this case," said George Cwynar, President and Chief Executive Officer for MOSAID.
