eInfochips selected to operate QLogic Design Center
Facility in Pune, will Provide Research and Development for Storage Area Networking ASICS, Systems and Software
Ahmedabad, December 02, 2004 - eInfochips, a leading provider of ASIC design services, embedded systems solutions and IP cores to global blue-chip technology companies, has been selected by QLogic Corporation (Nasdaq: QLGC) to set up and operate a QLogic Design Center in Pune. The design center will operate as an extension of the QLogic engineering team headquartered in southern California. Engineers at the QLogic Design Center will focus on core research and development of new products for the rapidly growing storage area networking (SAN) market.

eInfochips has a state-of-the-art 16000 sq. ft. design center employing over 200 design engineers in Ahmedabad. For the Pune center, eInfochips has earmarked $1.5M over 2 years and plans to ramp up to a team strength of 50-60 engineers in the first year of operation.
