Tahoe RF Semiconductor Offers New Fractional-N Synthesizer
AUBURN, Calif., Jan. 18, 2005 -- Tahoe RF Semiconductor, Inc., a leading Electronic Design Services (EDS) company announces today the availability of their Fractional-N Synthesizer IP. This IP is well suited for use in handheld or portable integrated applications where high resolution, high stability signal generation is required.
Key features of the new Tahoe RF Fractional-N Synthesizer include: RF output frequency to 5GHz, 22-bit resolution, variable input reference frequency, integrated digital dithering and filtering, low spurious signal content and low phase noise. The IP block also includes a digital phase detector and charge pump allowing users to quickly realize fully integrated solutions. The phase detector has a constant slope even at zero degree phase error.
"We are pleased to offer our new Tahoe RF Frac-N Synthesizer IP to our customers. This IP Block can be used in many applications such as test instruments, communications IC's, and wireless or wired products," said Irshad Rasheed, President, Tahoe RF.
This new IP Block is available for integration into customer designs immediately. The core of the IP Block is fully synthesizable Verilog that can target at any desired process.
"We are delighted that Tahoe RF can now offer such a high stability frequency source," said Christopher Saint, VP Engineering, Tahoe RF Semiconductor. "This IP is designed to be used with existing Tahoe RF Integrated VCO's to give our customers an improved time to market and high level of confidence."
Tahoe RF invites interested parties to contact them for further information.
