Patriot Scientific announces GNU-C/C++ compiler sofware for IGNITE-based embedded processor applications
PTSC provides its own C-based development tools and now offers a bundled GNU-based compiler solution based on Sun's migration suite resulting in higher performance IGNITE-based systems. PTSC provides the highest-performance density microprocessor (measured in Consumermarks) as rated by the Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium (EEMBC), the industry's standard of benchmarking processor performance. The IGNITE processor core is ideally suited to consumer, digital signal and image processing applications. PTSC will provide these upgraded tools as the standard development environment for new IGNITE customers.
Dr. Patrick Nunally, chief technology officer of Patriot Scientific, said, "This new release allows developers to build code targeted for the GNU-C/C++ compiler, such as Linux. This significant capability, along with the recent EEMBC substantiation, represents a tremendous validation of our processor architecture and compiler technology."
