IPCore and eMemory form alliance to provide a comprehensive single-poly OTP solution
This alliance will bring IPCore and eMemory working together to lower the business barriers and reduce the technical risks of using emb-OTP for the increasing number of data storage and retention functions required by today's converging array of communications, computing and consumer electronics. IPCore is the first design service company in China offering silicon proven and pre-qualified OTP memory blocks as a cost-effective, flexible alternative to other emb-NVM solutions such as ROM, EEPROM and Flash.
"The addition of eMemory's single-poly OTP solution will strengthen our overall emb-OTP IP portfolio, on top of our current double-poly emb-OTP solution we introduced last year," said Jasper Yang, Vice President of Marketing at IPCore. "This provides IPCore customers more cost-effective and easier-to-implement memory alternatives."
"We're pleased to leverage IPCore’s established design service infrastructure to broaden our customer reach. IPCore is already the leader in emb-OTP services in China; our silicon-proven solutions enable IPCore to quickly open doors to major foundries," said Charles Hsu, President of eMemory.
Cost-effective, Flexible Memory Solution
Unlike traditional double-ploy OTP, eMemory's OTP memory does not require any special semiconductor manufacturing processes; they provide programmability for embedded memory manufactured in standard CMOS processes. These offer all the same data storage and functionality of OTP with the additional benefits of higher operating performance, lower voltage operation/lower power consumption, smaller chip area and reduced manufacturing costs.
eMemory's OTP blocks can also be used in conjunction with the broad range of third-party mixed-signal and analog components for system-on-chip implementations. The standard OTP memory offering is compatible with target foundries’ standard cell libraries and memory compilers available from its various library partners, and is supported by industry-leading design automation tools. Silicon characterization reports are available upon request.
