Rambus Updates First Quarter 2005 Financial Guidance
LOS ALTOS, CA - March 21, 2005 - Rambus Inc. (Nasdaq:RMBS), one of the world?s premier technology licensing companies, today announced that it expects revenue to be approximately $37 and $38 million and total spending, which includes cost of services and direct expenses, to be between $33 and $36 million for the first quarter of 2005. The guidance given in January 2005 was for revenue to be in the range of $38 to $42 million and total spending to be in the range of $30 to $34 million. The increased range in total spending is driven by higher than expected litigation costs. In addition, the company expects that net interest and other income will now be in the range of $2.1 and $2.3 million.
