Judge Sets April 2008 Trial Date for Silicon Image Trade Secret and Copyright Infringement Case Against Analogix (Wednesday Jan. 09, 2008)
In January 2007, Silicon Image filed a complaint charging Analogix with copyright infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, and unlawful, unfair and fraudulent business practices. In the lawsuit, Silicon Image alleges that Analogix—without authorization and in violation of Silicon Image’s intellectual property rights—copied and used Silicon Image’s proprietary register maps and semiconductor configuration software.

Court Denies Silicon Image's Request to Preliminarily Enjoin Sales of Analogix Semiconductor's HDMI Chips (Tuesday Jan. 08, 2008)
Silicon Image had previously asked the Court to order Analogix to stop selling certain of its HDMI chips, claiming that Analogix had misappropriated Silicon Image's alleged trade secrets. The Court denied Silicon Image's request, stating that “the evidence gives rise to serious questions on the merits as to this claim.”

These patents are related to Wi-Fi and to power consumption in DSL products.

The TPL Group Files Appeal to Reverse Markman Claim Construction for US '584 Patent in MMP Portfolio (Friday Sep. 28, 2007)
As a result of the stipulation requested by TPL, the Texas Court infringement trial will focus on only two US patents in the MMP Portfolio, the 5,809,336 and the 6,598,148. TPL asserts that the June 18th Markman ruling broadly confirmed the strength of MMP claims including the very significant affirmation of US 5,809,336 as applied to both modern PLL-based and non PLL-based systems.
