Analog Droop Detector (ADD) detects power supply voltage droops and generates a flag signal when the supply voltage (VPROBE) is lower than the predefined reference voltage (VREF) controlled by an 8-bit digital input of D[7:0]. ADD consists of a reference voltage generator (Bandgap Reference (BGR), reference buffer (REF Buff), and Resistor DAC (RDAC), a droop detecting sensor (SENSOR), and a probe voltage scaler (SCALER). The device is a comparator-based ADD, which provides a droop detection mode and a power-down mode.
