Power Deliver Network Monitoring and Droop Detection
The multi-threshold sensor is designed for high reliability and accuracy, and provides extensive observability and configurability for droop event detection. The Aeonic Insight Droop Detector features three independent threshold points that can be configured through an APB interface during in-field operations and via JTAG at test. Through the same interfaces, the detector can provide rich outbound data to silicon analytics and health monitoring platforms.
One of the unique capabilities of this system is its high degree of pre-silicon configurability and post silicon programmability. The Aeonic Integrated Droop Response system provides flexibility to customize an implementation to meet the specific needs of any SoC. The system addresses this by allowing designers to deploy multiple droop detectors across the SoC and support single or multiple thresholds. The detectors are small enough to be deployed widely, and can be tuned via post-silicon programming.
