Versatile Video Input - frame grabber

The logiWIN Versatile Video Controller is a picture process unit that accepts versatile video input streams, converts them to the RGB format when necessary and adapts the picture to the targeted video format. This IP core actually accepts ITU656 formatted input video stream (i.e. PAL or NTSC), decodes it, and coverts into the RGB format. The logiWIN supports real-time video picture scaling, de-interlacing, cropping and positioning on the video display. Captured and processed video input must be displayed by mean of the graphic controller IP, i.e. the logiCVC-ML Multilayer Video Input Controller from Xylon logicBRICKS™ IP library. The logiWIN integrates high-quality Least Mean Square (LMS) anti-aliasing algorithm that guarantees high picture quality without visible artifacts. The core is fully embedded into Xilinx Platform Studio and EDK tools, and its integration with on-chip CoreConnect™ PLB and OPB busses is very simple. Parametrizable VHDL design allows tuning of slice consumption and features set through an easy-to-use GUI interface.
