SDV is a privately owned business, founded in 1998 in Austin, Texas.

First stage development funding came in part from a United States Air Force (USAF) grant, to develop solutions that improve the productivity of engineers verifying the functional accuracy of VHDL descriptions.

SDV is an innovative business with the mission to develop software productivity tools to enhance functional verification of ASIC, FPGA and other semiconductor designs through the application of Formal Methods and the Re-Use of Verification IP.
