Denali Software and GDA Technologies Team to Deliver Comprehensive Intellectual Property Solutions for Advanced Switching Interconnect SystemsDesign and Verification IP Products Speed Deployment of Advanced Switching Designs PALO ALTO, Calif., June 7, 2005 -- Denali Software and GDA Technologies, a leading Electronic Design Services (EDS) solution provider, today announced a cooperative effort to deliver a comprehensive intellectual property (IP) platform for chip developers implementing the Advanced Switching Interconnect (ASI) standard. Primary elements of the platform include Denali's PureSpec™ verification IP product for the ASI standard, and GDA's Advanced Switching IP core (GPEX-AS) product. Leveraging strong foundations in PCI Express solutions, the companies now provide System-on-Chip (SoC ) designers high-quality IP solutions for developing and deploying ASI designs in silicon. GDA's Advanced Switching IP core verification environment uses Denali PureSpec as one of the verification components that provides a complete verification framework with flexible stimulus generation. The environment is reusable for complete IP verification, system-level functional modeling, RTL bring-up and integration, and system performance modeling. Denali's fully functional backend model provides an executable specification for RTL integration with GDA's Advanced Switching IP core. Use of PureSpec for Backend supports use in Verilog only or any other supported high-level verification language (HVL) environments, including C, and is easily ported for custom user interfaces. "With recent announcements by several silicon vendors, the industry support for ASI technology is growing as we move into an implementation phase marked by the availability of first silicon during the second half of the year," said ASI SIG President and Intel's Advanced Switching Initiatives Manager, Rajeev Kumar. "Design and verification products are a key part of this ecosystem. By providing these integrated IP solutions, Denali and GDA are helping enable designers to more efficiently deploy ASI designs that will help speed broad adoption of the standard." "GDA is committed to providing the leading design IP solutions for Advanced Switching systems," said Ravi Thummarukudy, VP&GM of IC division at GDA. "Working with Denali underscores our commitment to technology leadership, and improves the quality of our IP products. Our combined solutions enables our customers to minimize design risk, and reduce time to market for high-performance Advanced Switching and PCI Express based products." "High-quality IP solutions are critical for design and verification of today's SoC designs," says, Denali vice president David Lin. "Our customers rely on PureSpec as the most comprehensive verification IP solution for integrating and verifying standard interfaces. By teaming with GDA, customers now have access to proven IP products that dramatically streamline the effort for deploying, verifying, and optimizing ASI designs."
