Denali Delivers Simulation Models for Micron's NAND Flash Devices
Advanced Simulation Models Speed Design and Verification of Systems using Micron NAND Flash Devices
PALO ALTO, Calif., January 26, 2006 -- Denali Software, Inc. today announced the availability of Micron Technology, Inc.'s NAND Flash simulation models developed in close cooperation with Micron's Flash engineering group. The memory models were developed using Denali's MMAV™ modeling technology, which enables designers to simulate the Micron Flash devices in virtually all commercial simulation and verification environments. The models represent the detailed features, function and timing of the Micron NAND devices, and are available now at: http://www.ememory.com/Micron-FLASH_NAND "NAND Flash memory products are driving dramatic growth and fantastic new capabilities in portable consumer electronic products, and Micron is committed to leveraging its leading-edge design and manufacturing capabilities in this segment," said Bob Leibowitz, Micron's NAND product marketing manager. "The availability of Denali's high-quality simulation models will assist chip designers in accelerating the integration of Micron's NAND Flash memory into their system designs." "Memory interface verification is a critical in the chip development process," said Bob Pierce, Senior Director of Flash Products for Denali. "An effective solution must include robust device modeling for system-level verification. We've accomplished these goals with our MMAV product, which is now the industry's most widely used verification IP solution for all memory interfaces. Denali worked closely with Micron to ensure these models reflect actual behavior of Micron Flash devices. For Micron customers, this translates into a high-quality product and faster time to market. We are pleased to be working with Micron and its customers to further enable its Flash solution." About Denali Memory Modeling Products Denali's MMAV™ (Memory Modeler - Advanced Verification) verification IP product is a comprehensive solution for verifying functionality, compliance, interoperability, and performance for memory interfaces at the pre-silicon stage of chip or IP development. MMAV utilizes a device configuration file format, SOMA™ (Specification Of Memory Architecture), to completely specify all vendor-specific features, functionality, and timing for simulating any particular memory device, including all DRAM, SRAM, Flash, and Flash Card devices. Denali currently provides SOMA files for over 10,000 commercial memory devices through an online database at: http://www.ememory.com. Quality, completeness, EDA tool integration, and model availability make MMAV the most the most widely used solution for design and verification of memory systems. About Denali Denali Software Inc. is the world's leading provider of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and Intellectual Property (IP) products for design and verification of semiconductor chip interfaces. Denali's Databahn™ and Dataplex™ IP products provide control and optimal data throughput for external DRAM and Flash memory devices. The PureSpec™ and MMAV™ verification IP products support all standard interfaces, including DRAM, Flash, PCI Express, ASI, AMBA, USB, Ethernet, Serial ATA, and CE-ATA. Denali's Blueprint product provides complete solution for on-chip register design and management.
