Hantro Enables Multimedia Applications on Freescale's i.MX31 applications processor, i.300 and MXC cellular platforms Off-the-shelf application solutions for handset designs July 26th, 2006 -- Shortening product life cycles, longer use periods, smaller form factors and higher quality video present significant design challenges to wireless device manufacturers. Hantro, the leading provider of video technology for mobile handsets, today announced immediate availability of its 8300 Multi-Media Engine for Freescale’s i.MX21, i.MX31, MXC300-30, and i.300 application development suites. The engine is well suited for wireless device manufacturers who base their designs on Freescale’s mobile entertainment solutions. Image enhancing technologies such as camera stabilisation are available as well to license as options.
