Samsung Teams with Denali Software to Improve Memory System Design ProcessDenali Becomes Exclusive Provider of Simulation Models for Samsung Memory Devices PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Aug. 8, 2007-- Denali Software, Inc., today announced that it has become the exclusive commercial provider of simulation models for memory devices made by Samsung Electronics Company, Ltd., the largest producer of memory in the world. In naming Denali as exclusive provider of its simulation models, Samsung is ensuring faster access to high-quality simulated designs for its memory customers, while enabling designers to speed development of systems that utilize Samsung DRAM and NAND Flash memory, among other current and future memory devices. Samsung estimates that, on average, its customers could shave 6 to 8 weeks off their product development cycles as a result of the new collaboration. "Our goal is to provide our customers with the best design tools for our many memory solutions, so they can accelerate product development and better differentiate their products in markets ranging from consumer electronics to networking and communications," said Kevin Lee, vice president, Memory Marketing, Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. "By working with Denali, we are ensuring much earlier access to high-quality simulation models for design and verification of memory systems." "We continually focus on providing our customers with a complete memory system ecosystem as well as best-in class tools for fast and efficient deployment of memory subsystems," remarked David Lin, vice president, Product Marketing at Denali Software. "This collaboration with Samsung is a wonderful vote of confidence by a world-leading memory vendor. This is a direct result of a long and fruitful relationship and we look forward to continuing our work with Samsung in the future." Under the new arrangement, Samsung extends its participation in Denali's Memory Vendor Program. The program formalizes cooperative relationships between Denali and leading memory vendors who share the goal of speeding the adoption and integration of new memory technology into leading-edge electronic product designs. About the Denali Memory Vendor Program Denali's Memory Vendor Program (MVP) creates a support ecosystem which delivers up-to-date information on memory device technology, product roadmaps and vendor capability. The MVP program ensures that the commercial-quality memory models developed by Denali have gone through thorough testing and quality assurance by participating memory vendors. This is to ensure that the models directly reflect the most accurate behavior and timing with respect to the actual silicon part. Benefit highlights of the MVP ecosystem include: an extensive database, including Samsung simulation models for DRAM and Flash memory and other specifications and memory models at http://www.ememory.com/. Also, other available resources include: an online publication, the Denali Memory Report, which contains market information, profiles, pricing trends, and product roadmaps for Samsung's latest memory technology, and opportunities to participate in the industry's largest conference series, MemCon, which is targeted at bringing together chip designers, leading memory vendors and other leading companies in the value chain. For more information about MVP, visit: http://www.denali.com/partners_memory.html.
