Daewoo Electronics Purchases Moore Microprocessor Patent Portfolio License

CUPERTINO, Calif.-- December 4, 2007--Alliacense today announced that Daewoo Electronics Corporation has purchased a Moore Microprocessor Patent™ (MMP) Portfolio license from The TPL Group. Daewoo Electronics becomes the first Korean licensee to purchase an MMP license, and the 24^th licensee to date.

While the MMP Portfolio Licensing Program has been in place for over two years, 20% of the license purchases have followed the favorable “Markman” ruling issued earlier this summer, confirming the strength of the MMP Portfolio, and enhancing the momentum of the Licensing Program.

The sweeping scope of applications using MMP design techniques continues to encourage manufacturers of end user products from around the globe to become MMP licensees. Since January 2006, HP, Casio, Fujitsu, Sony, Nikon, Seiko Epson, Pentax, Olympus, Kenwood, Agilent, Lexmark, Schneider Electric, NEC Corporation, Funai Electric, SanDisk, Sharp Corporation, Nokia, Bull, LEGO, Denso Wave, Philips, and TEAC have all purchased MMP Portfolio licenses.
