First Batch of China 3G Commercial Trial Handsets are all ARM PoweredApril 24, 2008 What: China Mobile launched its first batch of ARM926EJ-S™ processor-based TD-SCDMA handsets on April 1, 2008 at China’s first 3G service commercial trial covering eight cities. Priced between RMB 2,000 and 3,800, these ARM Powered® handsets are made by in China by six manufacturers, including local and international companies such as Hisense, ZTE, Samsung and LG. During the trial, more than 20,000 users will be able to experience 3G services enabled by TD-SCDMA technology with the help of China Mobile, facilitating the commercialization of China’s 3G standard.
