(06/23/2008 5:08 AM EDT) LONDON — The growth of the worldwide market for semiconductor intellectual property slipped back to a single-digit percentage in 2007, reflecting signs of maturity, less organic growth and more growth by acquisition, according to market research company Gartner. After three years of double-digit growth rates, the market settled back to 8 percent growth during 2007, according to the seventh annual semiconductor IP market share survey, conducted between February and April 2008. The overall semiconductor IP market (including technology licensing and design IP) is estimated at $1.9 billion in 2007. ARM lead the market with a revenue share of nearly 24 percent, followed by Rambus and MIPS Technologies.
