MIPS Technologies Announces Executive Appointments
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – January 12, 2009 – MIPS Technologies, Inc. (NasdaqGS: MIPS), a leading provider of industry-standard architectures, processors and analog IP for digital consumer, home networking, wireless, communications and business applications, today announced new executive appointments, entering 2009 with strong leadership around the globe to drive its integrated analog and processor businesses. Cesar Martin-Perez was named vice president and general manager of the Analog Business Group reporting to MIPS President and CEO John Bourgoin. Mark Pittman was appointed vice president of Asia Pacific sales, and Stefan Buechmann was named vice president of European sales. Both Pittman and Buechmann report to Brad Holtzinger, vice president of worldwide sales and corporate marketing. All three executives move into their new positions from other roles at MIPS Technologies.

In his new role, he assumes responsibility for growing the company’s analog business worldwide. With his strong knowledge of the processor business, Martin-Perez will lead the Analog Business Group in working closely with MIPS’ Processor Business Group to develop market opportunities and deliver solutions. Martin-Perez brings more than 20 years of experience in semiconductor management and sales to his new role. He began his career with MIPS Technologies in 2000, and was appointed vice president of European operations in 2002. Martin-Perez has held senior sales and business development positions at Mentor Graphics, Cadence Design Systems, Calay Systems and Kontron Datensystems. Previously vice president of Processor Business Group sales for MIPS Technologies, Mark Pittman is now responsible for all sales operations in Asia Pacific, including China, Taiwan, Korea and Southeast Asia. He has more than 15 years of semiconductor-related sales and marketing experience including product marketing, business development, corporate branding, press and analyst relations and advertising. Pittman joined MIPS Technologies in 2000. He previously held sales, marketing and engineering positions with Integrated Systems, TakeFive Software, Force Computers, Developmental Sciences Corporation, Innovision Medical, and Hughes Aircraft. He received a B.A. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a director for the US-Taiwan Business Council. Stefan Buechmann was previously an account director for MIPS Technologies in Europe, and is now responsible for sales, marketing and business development activities throughout the UK, Europe and Israel. Buechmann has more than 10 years of experience in global account management, managing highly complex sales processes. He joined MIPS in 2002, previously holding sales management positions with Virage Logic, Avant! Corporation and Mentor Graphics.
