Aquantia to Deliver World's First Quad 10GBASE-T Solution
Achieves disruptive power and density milestones
MILPITAS, Calif. -- May 11, 2009 -- Aquantia, the leading developer of energy efficient 10GBASE-T solutions, today announced the validation of the world's first 40nm Quad 10GBASE-T PHY. Aquantia’s bold move into 40nm will deliver the critical power, density and cost performance levels long awaited by server, switch and storage equipment manufacturers for volume deployment in the data center ecosystem. Aquantia’s achievement in the 40nm process node, together with the announcement of the world's first full product family ranging from single to quad-port devices, confirm the company’s leadership position among 10GBASE-T silicon providers. Aquantia successfully demonstrated its unique and competitive architecture in 90nm with the AQ1002 now shipping to major OEM customers. Aquantia has now proven once again that its differentiated and proven architecture can scale effectively to the next advanced process node, bringing together the benefits of high energy efficiency and high density needed for emerging LAN on Motherboard (LOM) and high-density switching implementations.
