(“Wi-LAN” or the “Company”) (TSX:WIN), a leading technology innovation and licensing company, today provided a litigation update pertaining to the claims filed on September 30, 2008 by Intel Corporation (“Intel”) in the Northern District of California requesting a declaratory judgment that 18 of Wi-LAN’s U.S. patents are invalid and have not been infringed. Wi-LAN brought a motion to dismiss or transfer this Intel lawsuit, which was argued before U.S. District Judge Ware on May 4, 2009.
