Secure Sidense OTP Helps Parade Provide Protected Video ContentUpdate: Synopsys Expands DesignWare IP Portfolio with Acquisition of Sidense Corporation (Oct. 17, 2017) Ottawa, Canada – April 9, 2010 – Sidense Corp., a leading developer of Logic Non-Volatile Memory (LNVM) IP cores, today announced that Parade Technologies Ltd., a leading innovator of digital video interface products, has selected Sidense’s 1T-Fuse™-based OTP memory for use in their HDMI switch products. The 64Kbit macro will be used for several purposes, including HDCP key, EDID (Extended Display Information Data) information and code storage. HDMI switches are used to simplify system-level design and reduce system cost in applications with multiple HDMI/DVI inputs. Typical devices that employ HDMI switches include digital TVs, digital set-top boxes, A/V receivers, digital DVRs and HDMI/DVI switch boxes. “As with many Sidense’s customers, Parade is applying one of our OTP macros for more than a single storage application,” said Tom Schild, Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Sidense. “The high security of our patented, antifuse-based bit-cell technology makes our memory macros an excellent choice in HDMI applications, where digital rights protection is crucial. Traditional memory such as Flash does not offer the same level of security.” “We chose Sidense as our OTP IP supplier because they met both criteria we were looking for. First, their NVM products provide inherent data security, and second, their memory macros can be programmed in a system environment as well as in the field,” said Jimmy Chiu, Parade’s Vice President of Marketing. “We feel that Sidense’s OTP solution is a very good fit for Parade’s display interface products that support content protection and programmable configuration.” About Sidense Sidense Corp. provides secure, very dense and reliable non-volatile, one-time programmable (OTP) memory IP for use in standard-logic CMOS processes without requiring additional masks or process steps and with no impact on product yield. The Company’s innovative one-transistor 1T-Fuse™ architecture provides the industry’s smallest footprint, most reliable and lowest power Logic Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) IP solution. With over 40 patents granted or pending, Sidense OTP provides a field-programmable alternative solution to Flash, mask ROM and eFuse in many OTP and MTP applications. Sidense OTP memory, embedded in over 80 customer designs, is available from 180nm down to 40nm and is scalable to 28nm and below. The IP has been adopted by all top-tier semiconductor foundries and selected IDMs. Customers are using Sidense OTP for analog trimming, code storage, encryption keys such as HDCP, WHDI, RFID and Chip ID, medical, automotive, and configurable processors and logic.
