Red Herring Selects Arteris as Global 100 Private Companies WinnerNetwork-on-Chip (NoC) interconnect IP pioneer is only semiconductor intellectual property (SIP) provider selected LOS ANGELES, California – February 2, 2011 –Red Herring announced that it selected Arteris for its 2010 Global 100 list of the top private companies from North America, Europe, and Asia. This list recognizes startups' innovations, technologies and business accomplishments across their respective industries. Red Herring's Global 100 list is a mark of distinction for identifying promising new companies. Red Herring editors were among the first to recognize that companies such as Google, Yahoo, ARM, Skype, Netscape, Salesforce.com, YouTube, and eBay would change the way we live and work. Arteris provides network on chip (NoC) semiconductor intellectual property (IP) to simplify the front-end chip design process while easing back-end routing congestion and timing closure issues. Arteris NoC interconnect IP technology enables system on chip (SoC) designers to achieve lower power, higher memory bandwidth and optimized latencies by individual connections. Arteris’ products offer the ability to reduce the number of interconnect wires required for SoC design. Reducing the number of wires resolves routing congestion at the back-end place-and-route stage, resulting in shorter development cycle time, less SoC complexity, smaller SoC area, and less SoC power. The growing Arteris ecosystem provides connectivity to a variety of IPs and IP protocols as well as multiple EDA design flows. Red Herring's editorial staff evaluated the companies on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, management quality, strategy and market penetration. This assessment of potential was complemented by a review of the track record and standing of startups relative to their sector peers, allowing Red Herring to see past the "buzz" and make the list an invaluable instrument of discovery and advocacy for the greatest business opportunities from around the world. Arteris Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Charlie Janac spoke at the Red Herring Global event last week in Laguna Nigel, California, where he accepted the award. “Red Herring’s selection of Arteris as a Red Herring Global 100 winner is an endorsement of our technology, business model, management team and investor team,” said K. Charles Janac, President and CEO of Arteris. “We are proud that Arteris was the only semiconductor IP company chosen, and we appreciate the strong support of our customers as part of this process.” Arteris was previously selected as a 2010 Red Herring Top 100 Europe Finalist in March, which qualified the company for the global award.
