Moortec Deliver Analog IP at 40nm and 28nmApril 29, 2011 -- Moortec Semiconductor, provider of analog IP and semiconductor design services, announces the delivery of its embedded temperature sensor and crystal oscillator IP for TSMC's 40nm and 28nm processes. Since 2005, the design group in Plymouth, have been providing analog IP, custom chip and platform design services to tier-1 semiconductor and product companies in the UK and Europe. "This is an important step to Moortec becoming a serious player in the provision of high performance analog IP," said Steve Crosher, MD of Moortec Semiconductor. "Furthermore it provides us with an opportunity to demonstrate our world class design capability. We are delighted to be delivering designs to customers at such advanced nodes." Moortec have cited many applications for the on-chip temperature sensor at low geometries. These include thermal management, device reliability, performance optimization, temperature sensing during device qualification (or burn-in) and device security. The design group intend to capitalize on their design capabilities, continuing to provide design services, but also continuing to build their IP portfolio. As well as embedded temperature sensor solutions, Moortec has also delivered crystal oscillator IP at at 28nm. Moortec, established in 2005, provide high quality analog and mixed-signal IP blocks as well as Custom Chip solutions world-wide for a variety of applications. The UK based design group also provide Platforms for IC test and evaluation. Having a track record of delivery to tier-1 semiconductor and product companies, Moortec provide a quick and efficient path to market for customer products and innovations.
