Xylon Showcases the World's Fastest 3D Graphics Engine for Xilinx Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoCDecember 11 2012, (Croatia) – Xylon has ported company's 3D Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) to the Xilinx® Zynq™-7000 All Programmable SoC ZC706 Evaluation Kit. The Xilinx ZC706 evaluation board features the XC7Z045 FFG900-2 SoC with the Xilinx 7 Series Kintex™-7 FPGA equivalent programmable logic. The logi3D Scalable 3D Graphics Accelerator IP core configured for speed, and running on the advanced programmable logic, enables 3D graphics rendering speeds previously unseen in programmable logic devices. The current logicBRICKS GPU implementation is 3 times faster than previous graphics engine implementations demonstrated by popular Xylon's reference designs for the Xilinx ZC702 Evaluation Kit or the ZedBoard™ Development Board from Avnet Electronics Marketing . The World's Fastest 3D Graphics Engine for Programmable Logic 3D graphics demos rendered by Xylon's logi3D Scalable 3D Graphics Accelerator IP core running on the Xilinx® Zynq-7000 ZC706 Evaluation Kit and Linux OS. The logi3D is designed to support the OpenGL® ES 1.1 API and run on the Xilinx Zynq™-7000 AP SoC. Product is based on a published Khronos specification, and is expected to pass the Khronos Conformance Testing Process. Current conformance status can be found at www.khronos.org/conformance. About Xylon Xylon is an electronic company focused on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design development. It was established in 1995 and is based in Zagreb, Croatia. Xylon offers a comprehensive IP cores library named logicBRICKS, and it is optimized for Xilinx FPGA architectures. Xylon's expertise in the fields of embedded graphics, video, image processing and networking is confirmed by a large number of successful FPGA designs, which are produced by our partners and distributed worldwide. All of Xylon's IP cores are exhaustively tested to ensure that they can be easily implemented and integrated in the customers' designs. Xylon is a Prermier Member of the Xilinx Alliance Program.
