25 IC vendors adopt Allegro DVT HEVC/H.265 compliance streamsGrenoble, France - September 11, 2013 -- At IBC 2013, Allegro DVT celebrates the anniversary of its HEVC Main Profile compliance streams. Allegro DVT, the world leader in AVC and HEVC compliance streams, announces it has already licensed its HEVC compliance streams to 25 major IC vendors in China, Europe, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the U.S. “Tight cooperation with our early customers has helped us create mature and highly reliable HEVC compliance streams. Thanks to these streams, we can efficiently support our customers in the context of a fast market transition to HEVC” said Pierre MARTY, CEO of Allegro DVT. Allegro DVT is the only company providing a complete solution for HEVC decoder validation, including:
On our booth at IBC, we will be presenting our new product, a suite of HEVC Main10 compliance streams, designed to test upcoming 4K decoders. The Main10 profile was specifically designed to improve 4K content video quality and it is currently assumed that the 10 bit color depth support can be accounted for a significant part of the additional immersivity brought by 4K content. As a consequence, we anticipate the whole production industry chain to leverage transition to 4K and adopt 10 bit color depth support, which in turn requires support on playing devices. Come and book a private demonstration at IBC 2013 in Amsterdam, booth 1.A46.
