Key Endorsements from Industry Leaders Drive Verisity's e Verification Language to StandardizationIndustry Leading Electronics Companies Join LicenseE Program MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - June 3, 2002--Verisity, Ltd. (Nasdaq: VRST), the leading provider of functional verification automation software, today announced continued growing support for Verisity's e verification language with several industry-leading companies joining the LicenseE™ program. Key customers including: Cisco, STMicroelectronics and Black Cat Electronics have joined LicenseE in order to drive it to be an open, public standard. In addition, leading formal verification vendor, Averant, Inc. has announced their membership in the LicenseE program to develop e language support within their tools. [See related release, "Averant Licenses Verisity's e Verification Language," dated June 3, 2002]. Additional announcements of new LicenseE members are expected in the next few months. "ST is a long-time customer of Verisity and we have standardized on Verisity's Specman Elite™ for testbench automation and eVC™s for verification reuse because of the quality of the solution and the very proactive support we get from Verisity," said Philippe Magarshack, Group Vice President, Central R&D, Design Automation and Libraries Program Director for STMicroelectronics. "We have joined the LicenseE program because we believe the e language is a good choice for verification and we believe that the open LicenseE Steering Committee has the right combination of ASIC end-users, as well as EDA providers, so as to make it into the industry verification standard." The Path to Standardization
"There is strong momentum behind the e language as evidenced by the growing list of customers, EDA vendors and Verification Alliance™ partners in the LicenseE program," said Moshe Gavrielov, chief executive officer for Verisity. "The best standards are made from commercial solutions that the marketplace has deemed the de facto standard. e is the verification language the market has chosen and is therefore, the only logical choice for standardization."
