Rocketick Secures Strategic Investment from Intel Capital and NVIDIASAN JOSE, CALIF. –– October 22, 1PM— Rocketick Technologies Ltd., a provider of GPU-based logic simulation software for chip verification, today announced it has closed a $3 million Series C funding round including investments from Intel Capital, Intel’s global investment organization, NVIDIA, the world leader in visual computing, and other existing investors. Funding will be used for working capital to expand Rocketick’s research and development team and expand its customer support infrastructure. RocketSim™ is a GPU-based software solution that seamlessly attaches to existing simulators and accelerates them by an order of magnitude, thus enabling chip manufacturers to reduce significantly time-to-market of new designs. RocketSim works alongside existing customer workflows and design environments, thus requiring minimal ramp-up effort. It can attach to and accelerate all leading simulators in the market. “NVIDIA has licensed Rocketick technology and achieved excellent results across a wide range of designs,” says Jeff Herbst, vice president of Business Development at NVIDIA. “We have a long-standing and productive working relationship with the Rocketick team, going back to our 2011 investment, and we are pleased to extend our support through this follow-on investment.” “Rocketick’s technology has the potential to positively impact VLSI chip verification,” adds Shishpal Rawat, Director, Design Technology Solutions Group, Intel. “This unique way of parallelizing logic simulation can be of great value to any semiconductor company designing complex chips. We are pleased to invest in Rocketick.” “We are excited to have both Intel Capital and NVIDIA as investors in Rocketick,” said Uri Tal, Rocketick’s CEO. “RocketSim is now a proven simulation acceleration technology. Intel Capital and NVIDIA have given us strategic support, and their investment will enable us to scale commercially and to continue to advance our technology.” About Rocketick Rocketick, founded in 2008 by a group of hardware-assisted-acceleration experts, is a pioneer in GPU-based simulation acceleration for chip verification. Its first product, RocketSim™, solves functional verification bottlenecks by complementing simulators with a GPU-based acceleration solution that offers 10x faster simulations for highly complex designs. RocketSim is used today by several semiconductor customers. For more information, visit www.rocketick.com or email us at info@rocketick.com.
