Trebia Networks Successfully Performs LogicVision's At-Speed Debug on .18 Micron Prototype Storage Networking Chip
Silicon Debug Done In Less Than a Day
San Jose, Calif., July 22, 2002 - LogicVision, Inc., (NASDAQ:LGVN), a leading provider of embedded test for integrated circuits and systems, today announced that Trebia Networks, Inc., (Acton, Mass.) a provider of Storage Network Processors, successfully implemented LogicVision's Embedded Test Solution™ for silicon debug in its prototype storage networking chip. Based on this experience, Trebia plans to leverage LogicVision's Embedded Test technology for its follow-on chip scheduled for production. With the prototype chip, Trebia has already seen dramatic improvements over traditional test methods as measured by reduced time-to-debug-- hours compared to weeks-- and reduced cost. LogicVision's Embedded Test technology was applied on Trebia's complex 0.18 micron prototype chip to isolate initial test program issues. The use of LogicVision's at-speed Embedded Test enabled Trebia to run multiple tests on its device in a lab setup environment within minutes. Using embedded test, Trebia has been able to ensure proper device level testing, provide its manufacturing test company with qualified test pattern information and re-use the chip's embedded test in a board-level environment to confirm the integrity of the embedded test provided to the test house. "While designing a complex, hierarchical chip, we looked for a test methodology that not only met our test needs, but also provided key customer benefits as well," stated Wayne Koch, Trebia Network's vice president of hardware engineering. "Using LogicVision's Embedded Test technology allows us to deliver accelerated time-to-market and enhanced diagnostics and debug capabilities to our customers." Mukesh Mowji, LogicVision's vice-president of sales and marketing, said, "Trebia Networks' success in utilizing LogicVision's Embedded Test once again validates the strength of our comprehensive test solution. An increasing number of customers are leveraging the time to market benefits we offer through fastest silicon debug. We look forward to providing Trebia with greater value as they move to volume production."
