The UNH-IOL Approved as First Independent Test Lab for the MIPI Product RegistryDurham, N.H.,--November 2, 2016-- The University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL), an independent provider of broad-based testing and standards conformance services for the networking industry, announced they are now a test lab for MIPI Alliance members looking to submit their products to the MIPI Product Registry. As an independent test lab, the UNH-IOL has the ability to test any MIPI Alliance members’ mobile devices for conformance to MIPI specifications with the intent that members may submit these approved products to the registry. The Product Registry allows companies to list their products on the MIPI public website which have passed specified conformance test suites ensuring reliability for consumers of these products. The Product Registry has the means to bring suppliers and consumers together benefiting the mobile community as a whole. “Our goal is to continue to support our reputation as a trusted, neutral third-party testing facility that provides unbiased test results to our customers to ensure confidence in their products before they go to market,” said Kerry Munson, Operations Manager, Data Center Technologies at the UNH-IOL. “This confidence will be recognized by those who visit the MIPI Product Registry and see products listed that have been tested at our facility.” Joel Huloux, Chairman of the Board of MIPI Alliance, stated that "MIPI Alliance is pleased to offer our 285+ member companies across the mobile ecosystem access to the MIPI Product Registry, with UNH-IOL approved as the first approved Independent Test Lab for this new program. UNH-IOL has been an active participant in the MIPI Test Working Group and test activities for the mobile ecosystem." The UNH-IOL has been a member of the MIPI Alliance since 2007 and also offers MIPI testing services for the physical layer including D-PHY, C-PHY, and M-PHY, protocol testing for CSI-2 and DSI, and MIPI battery testing. As with similar UNH-IOL test programs, membership in the UNH-IOL MIPI Consortium benefits implementers by giving them access to year round support, weekly testing reservations, debugging assistance and access to our test bed equipment. In addition, the UNH-IOL helps ensure that devices work reliably by seamlessly connecting components in mobile devices through MIPI Alliance testing efforts including adherence to the MIPI Product Registry program and conformance testing. About the UNH-IOL Founded in 1988, the UNH-IOL provides independent, broad-based interoperability and standards conformance testing for data, telecommunications and storage networking products and technologies.
