HDL Design House and Mentor Workshop at Aviation Electronics Europe 2017HDL Design House and Mentor® a Siemens business, will hold a joint technical workshop about the use of random verification for DO-254 projects and DO-254 flow with ReqTracer and Questa at the Aviation Electronics Europe 2017. Belgrade, Serbia – April 5th, 2017 – HDL Design House, provider of digital, analog, and back-end design and verification services and products in numerous areas of SoC, will host a joint technical workshop with Mentor a Siemens business, at the Aviation Electronics Europe conference, on April 25th, 2017 at the MOC Event Center in Munich, at 4pm. The workshop presenters will be Ms. Olivera Stojanovic, Verification Project Leader at HDL DH, and Mr. Bruno Hanssler, Manager Application Engineer at Mentor. The aim of the first part of the workshop is to encourage the use of random verification and UVM methodology in DO-254 projects. Attendees will learn about the benefits of advanced technique - random verification compared to the traditional direct approach, which is the most usual approach for these types of projects. Basic terminology, techniques and methodology of random verification will be presented and explained. Attendees will discover how to apply random verification in DO-254 projects. During the workshop, there will be practical examples to illustrate the process of this kind of verification. The presentation will highlight challenges that arise from the DO-254 verification process and requirements traceability for the key elements of random verification (coverage, assertions, tests). DO-254 design processes are driven by requirements and follow a strict design assurance. Designers need to ensure that the specified requirements are met and prove their specific implementation. Mentor Graphics®, a Siemens Business is focused on these DO-254 design challenges and committed to help designers achieve their design goals and project schedules. The second part of the workshop presents the history and current status of DO-254. The key problem areas that many companies are struggling with are covered. Finally this presentation introduces Mentor solutions, addressing some of these key challenges, such as requirement management and traceability and discusses best practices on how to establish a company-wide DO-254 methodology that is efficient and reusable. The workshop is taking place on Tuesday 25 April, 4pm, at the Aviation Electronics Europe, and is free to attend. For more information, please contact Milena Jovanovic, m-jovanovic@hdl-dh.com.
