IndigoVision Launch Their New Video Transmission SolutionMarket leaders of Live Networked Video launch high quality point-to-point digital IP video transmission at low cost.
December 2, 2002 - IndigoVision the leaders in Live Networked Video technology have produced a transmission solution that that eliminates the problems of distance when viewing remote video. Rather than using more traditional analogue networking our solution allows the user to break the coax link between the camera and the monitor and use any IP enabled digital network to make the connection. This allows the user to view high quality video over any distance at a realistic cost. At the core of this solution is a new software component, VideoBridge™ Link Manager, which has been developed to allow users to easily create and administer remote video transmission links. This solution also supports remote configuration, remote alarm notification, remote PTZ camera control at no extra cost.
Ken Sutherland - Head of Product Management & Marketing for IndigoVision said: "The step-change in the availability of digital network infrastructure has been the sole driver for the development of this new software application. Our video quality has already been proven in numerous worldwide installations such as local government, city center surveillance and large international airports. We are now able to build on this success and deliver a low cost video transmission solution as well as our full CCTV offering. Our pre-packaged transmission solution delivers high quality IP point-to-point video with a very easy to use application interface."
IndigoVision is the only company with all of the key elements for a complete Live Networked Video solution, from capturing, to displaying, storing, retrieving and analysing images. By integrating IndigoVision's VideoBridge technology, which enables the conversion and compression of analogue signals to digital, into this simple point-to-point solution we are extending the digital IP video market to all IP enabled networks.
Oliver Vellacott - CEO, IndigoVision commented: "This launch is part of our ongoing plan to build a complete portfolio of Live Networked Video solutions that address the surveillance and monitoring market. When this new transmission solution is combined with our video recording offer it is clear to see that we now have a complete range of Live Networked Video solutions. We believe that high quality video transmission will prove a very significant market opportunity to IndigoVision in the future."
