Virtual Silicon Names Barry Hoberman President & CEOIP Veteran to Drive Continued Growth SUNNYVALE, Calif., --January 10, 2003 - Virtual Silicon Technology Inc., a leader in semiconductor intellectual property (SIP), today announced the appointment of Barry A. Hoberman as president and chief executive officer (CEO), effective January 2, 2003. Mr. Hoberman succeeds industry veteran and turn-around specialist Tim Unger, who joined Virtual Silicon in May 2002. Prior to Virtual Silicon, Mr. Hoberman was the president and CEO of inSilicon, and was instrumental in the conception, execution, and success of that company. Prior to that, Mr. Hoberman was founder and vice president of Phoenix Technologies' Semiconductor IP Division. In addition, Mr. Hoberman has held various positions in product management and development at Advanced Micro Devices and Monolithic Memories Inc. Mr. Hoberman has been issued 13 U.S. patents.
