Imagination Technologies Group plc, the leading provider of multimedia and communication intellectual property ("IP"), today announces that Sharp Corporation ("Sharp") has licensed Imagination Technologies' IP for incorporation into Sharp Integrated Circuits ("ICs").
Sharp has licensed IP cores from all three of Imagination's technology divisions Metagence, Ensigma and PowerVR. The cores will be used in products targeting the consumer market.
Under the terms of the agreement Imagination Technologies receives license and customisation income and will receive royalty revenues when Sharp ships products incorporating Imagination's IP cores.
