Altera and Arrow Electronics Introduce Easy-to-Use MAX 7000 Quick Start Development KitDigital Designers Now Have a Comprehensive CPLD Design Environment
San Jose, Calif., February 25, 2003--Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) and Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW) today announced the immediate availability of the MAX® 7000 Quick Start development kit. This easy-to-use development kit is a low-cost point of entry to Altera's industry-leading MAX 7000 complex programmable logic devices (CPLDs) for university students, digital designers implementing general-purpose programmable logic designs, and customers new to Altera's MAX 7000 device family. These designers can now take full advantage of the industry's leading CPLD solution for applications in the consumer, communications, industrial, and computing markets.

The MAX 7000 Quick Start development kit includes a development board with a MAX EPM7128AE device, Altera's Quartus® II Web Edition design software, a programming cable, an example design, power supply, and documentation.
