June 25th 2003, San Jose California - Motorola a global leader in wireless, automotive and broadband communications, has licensed Arasan's SDIO Controller Core IP. Motorola will integrate Arasan's SDIO IP into its Wireless Application Product. The SDIO (Secure Digital I/O) core is an RTL design in VHDL/ Verilog that implements an SDIO controller on an ASIC or FPGA. The controller core supports UART or microprocessor (ARM, INTEL) application interface. The core supports all three SD transfer modes and operates a up to 25 MHz for data transfers up to 100 MB.
